Striped Scarf with a Twist
A quick and satisfying make to bring your team, house or college colours to life. This scarf is a twist on simple garter, literally being knit on the bias. A fab length to wind around your neck to protect from the chill of watching your team or go for a more elegant feel to show the pattern over a long drape. Using baby yarns means you get a wonderfully soft warmth to this scarf.
It's sure to become a firm favourite through the winter,
This uses only 2 skeins of DK weight yarn, although it would work in almost any weight depending on how warm and large you want the finished scarf to be.
My sample was made in King Cole Baby Premier yarn in lemon and silver. The dk has worked up at a luxurious feeling 2m long by 20cm wide after gentle blocking to sharpen the points.
Enjoy the simple mindless knit and please remember to share your makes using #babsgetscrafty as I love to see them all.
